I created functionality specifications to be used by Engineers both redesigning and creating websites for a major client of Organic.

As a member of CLIQ Services Cooperative, Inc. and independently, I have worked as a freelance consultant for the past eight years. I enjoy the freedom and the responsibility. Whether I'm working with a team or given a project to do alone, I appreciate the creative space freelance work affords me. Examples of my work are found in my Portfolio above.

- 2003 – Staff Research Associate
Working with a knee surgeon, I built a Microsoft Access database and populated it with information from patients’ charts for use in academic papers. I gathered research from external sources for inclusion in lectures and papers. I wrote summary analyses on current and past medical forms.

I coordinated the efforts of graphic artists and software engineers to complete website projects. When planning projects, I help to set milestones, help estimate project cost, and maintain open communication with all members of the team to be sure expectations are met or contingencies are appropriately created.

I gained great writing and collaboration experience while creating a business plan, complete with finance spreadsheet, that detailed all aspects of the business design and who would be hired. I worked with a business consultant, a marketing consultant and a finance director to best create this plan and prepare for our first 3 years of operation.

As a member of CLIQ I have worked on website development and design, quality assurance testing, and technical writing for a number of projects, from small start-up companies to large established corporations.

- Erasmatazz
- 1996 to 1997 – website designer, developer and technical writer
I created the online presence of Erasmatazz, the company founded to build the Erasmatron, a software storyworld building engine. I wrote User Guide and Reference Manual documentation, displayed on the website. I incorporated a shopping cart that accepted credit cards through a merchant account.
